Hello everyone!
My name is Justin Mayer and for as long as I can remember,
I’ve been totally obsessed with fishing. For the past several years,
though, my passion has been kayak fishing.
I live in the Hampton Roads area of
Virginia, right in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay. This gives me a
nearly endless option of species to fish for, both fresh and salt. This
is great, because I love it all so much, I can’t really say that I
specialize in any one kind of fishing. Lately, however, I’ve been
focusing most of my efforts on saltwater fish – speckled trout, striped
bass, red drum, tautog, sheepshead, spadefish, and flounder, to name a few. Throughout the year,
of course, I try to mix it up with largemouth, smallmouth, crappie,
catfish, and yellow perch at least.
I have a beautiful wife that I married on July 16th, 2010 and we just had our first child on February 4th 2012! She is the most amazing woman in the world and I can't imagine life without her. She was the one who suggested I start this blog and I am glad she did! She is VERY supportive and sometimes even joins me on my fishing trips! I am one lucky man.
